CAP's Scientific Principle Appointed to Government Commission PDF Print

Professor Slater has been appointed to the Commission on Human Medicines to advise on biological medicines and vaccines. Primarily, the Commission advises government ministers on matters relating to human medicinal products and also advises UK medicines regulatory authorities in relation to the safety, quality and efficacy of medicines.

Cambridge Applied Polymers Ltd awarded a grant of £12k from to the University of Cambridge's Department of Chemical Engineering to study the application of CAP's patented and proprietary polymer technologies for use in controlled release formulations.

Dr Mark Eccleston of CAP has been awarded an Enterprise Fellowship from Royal Society of Edinburgh. The RSE was created in 1783 by Royal Charter for "the advancement of learning and useful knowledge".

Prof Nigel Slater has been elected a Fellow of the http://www.raeng.org.uk/Royal Academy of Engineering. Other recipients of this award this year included Sir Richard Sykes, Rector of
Imperial College London, and Ray Dolby, inventor of cinema's favourite sound system.
